Invitation to take part in Big Energy Saving Week: 21 to 27 January 2019

Big Energy Saving Week is an annual campaign coordinated by Citizens Advice in partnership with the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).

Energyworks at Groundwork and others are partnering with Citizens Advice to put on events across the country throughout Big Energy Saving Week to encourage local tenants and residents to find out how to save money on their energy bills. Find out more on:

Too many people are living in fuel poverty

Did you know…

  • 11% of households in England are estimated to be in fuel poverty.
  • One in five customers living in private rented households in England are in fuel poverty, higher than any other type of household and twice the national average.
  • One in ten prepayment meter customers “self-disconnected” from their electricity or gas supply because they did not top up their meters.
  • BESW aims to tackle fuel poverty by raising awareness of ways that consumers can keep their energy bills down and helping them to find better deals, discounts, grants and help.

Our trained Green Doctors will be on hand to support customers with their home energy bills and for general advice. You could even book in for us to visit your home and provide tailored advice and find out about the grants available to Rochdale residents!

Come down and get involved! This is an open invitation so please share this with your customers, colleagues, family and friends. The more the merrier.
